A Beacon of Support for Veterans
Spicerhaart, of which haart is part, is honoured to announce that we have been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award, the top recognition for employers who demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting military personnel and their families. The Armed Forces Covenant recognises employers that go above and beyond in their support for the Armed Forces community. Receiving the Gold Award is a testament to Spicerhaart's strong commitment to service members, veterans, and their families.
David Skingley, pictured above, joined our team in 2018, brings with him the experience of 26 years in the military and 13 years in commercial and government roles. As a former Warrant Officer in the Royal Corps of Signals, David now heads the IT Infrastructure team, managing data centre servers, networking, and IT security.
Emma Barber, our Head of Training and Development and Armed Forces Champion, whose husband served for 22 years, shared her pride in this moment:
“We are incredibly proud of the dedication of those who serve. Signing the Armed Forces Covenant was our commitment to fair and respectful treatment. Being awarded the Gold Award is one of the proudest moments in both my career and personal life.”
Our CEO, Antony Lark, shared his thoughts on the recognition:
“We are incredibly proud to be awarded the Gold Award, which further solidifies our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community. This honour reflects our ongoing dedication to ensuring that ex-military employees are given every opportunity to succeed in their civilian careers.”
Spicerhaart has long acknowledged the remarkable talents that veterans and reservists contribute to civilian workplaces. This award is a reflection of our commitment, placing us among the top employers supporting the Armed Forces.
We continue to prioritise a supportive workplace for all employees, particularly those who have served, and are eager to build upon our commitment to the Armed Forces community in the years ahead.
